Our Shortcomings

Subhanallah, how much of the Quran’s right do we actually fulfill? How much effort do we actually put in order to learn to recite it well, understand it, implement it? How comfortable are we with what we already know of it? How much comfort do we take in saying that “It’s too late for me.”? How much importance do we really give this Quran, and how much do we really admit the little importance we give it? How many excuses do we give as a result? For if you really want something, and deem it important, you will put forth the effort and carve out the time for it.

Shyness in reciting it to others is a barrier and a barrier that should be torn down. People have broken down this barrier in order to learn other things, so why should the Quran not deserve this attention?
